Just me and my dolls

Here I am with my dolls I created for the Falling For Fall Celebration by my Old Farmhouse Gathering team on Etsy. I honestly didn't think I was going to get them finished in time for the celebration, but I finished the 3rd one just in time. If you haven't yet, hop on over to Etsy and type in FFFOFG into the search bar to see all the wonderful creations from the team. Oh yeah, and here is the photo of me with my creations...

My one-of-a-kind handmade dolls always come signed and dated by me.

Coming along on my doll

The other day I finished up the doll's body, coffee staining and baking and painting and sanding. And just finished the face today. I'm not sure what the metal piece I made the nose is from. I saw it laying around and finally decided to pick it up and do something with it. Glad to get this much done so far.

Working on my next OOAK doll

I haven't made a OOAK doll for a while now, so finally found some motivation to start on a new one. Hopefully she will turn out well. I have 2 different ideas for her, but I am not sure which I will go with. I'm only in the stuffing body parts stage, but here is what I have so far. Kind of looks like E.T. doesn't it? LOL!

I think stuffing is my least likely favorite part of doll making. I just want to get to the good parts on designing it. I'll get there!

Peppercorn Primitives now on Facebook

I finally decided to make a Facebook page for my primitive crafts. I hope you will stop by and visit. You'll find the link over on the left side. See you there!

Primitive Mammy Doll with baby

The past few months I have really been procrastinating on making anything. It happens to me every year around this time. I start working on things for particular holidays, and I never finish the items in time for the holiday. But I finally got around to finishing a doll for everyday decor. This is a primitive mammy doll made from a pattern from Chestnut Junction. Hope you like her. She's in my Etsy shop now.

Mr. Sandman primitive doll

Here's my latest doll that I finally finished making. I procrastinated a lot these past few weeks on getting him finished - but I did. I'm pleased with how he turned out. He's for sale in my Etsy shop.

Extreme Prim doll - The Tooth Fairy.

This is my latest extreme prim doll - The Tooth Fairy. I really procrastinated with her. But she's crazy for sure!!! My daughter (she's 8) wanted me to make a fairy, and I was trying to think how to do it. Then tooth fairy popped into my head and I went with that. My daughter said she just "had" to have red hair, so I used some reddish mohair. Various homespun fabrics for the dress, rusty safety pins holding the dress straps over the shoulders. She holds a tooth in one hand (attached with rusty safety pin), and has a tooth bag and her sparkly tooth wand on the other arm. She is 14 inches tall. She comes signed and dated by me.

Going to sell her through a prim doll group I am in, and if there are no takers, she'll go to my Etsy shop.

Extreme prim doll

Here is a doll I finished making today, and have entered it into a doll challenge. This little gal is extreme prim. Haven't decided if I want to sell her yet or not.
