Harvest Moon felt applique primitive pillow

Finished up this sweet decorative pillow today. I decided not to coffee/tea stain it. I don't know if I should or not actually. Anyway, the design is from a pattern by Bird in The Hand Primitives.

I think it turned out cute, and was fun to make. It will be up in my Etsy shoppe soon.

Skeerdy Cat

My lil' old Skeerdy Cat has been added to my Etsy shoppe. This was a pattern from Button Eyed Annie. I don't think the website exists anymore, so unfortunately I can't link back.

Primitive Crow Witch and Jack Frost Cat and Snowman

My latest projects I have finished. The Primitive Crow Witch is a pattern by Kim Kohler of Veenas Mercantile. I have had this pattern for, gosh, I don't know how long now. I never could get the pattern to print right, and I think that put me off at the time for trying to make it. But I finally got it to print right, and think it turned out great. Not the easiest to pose though.

Is it too early to make Christmasy stuff? Maybe I will wait a little before I add this to my Etsy Shoppe. But this is Jack and Frost, a pattern by Blue Moon Beginnings.

I think these guys are really cute!

Autumn Ginger and pumpkin

Just finished making this last night - Autumn Ginger and pumpkin. It's a pattern by Chestnut Junction.

I wasn't sure if I was going to finish it because my sewing machine has been acting up. As far as I could tell, it was a tension problem. I haven't changed the tension setting at all and haven't had problems before, so not sure why it was acting up. I think it's ok for the moment. I changed the thread and it seems to be ok. Fingers crossed.

Harvest Pumpkin with crow and sunflower

I tend to make things that go along with the American seasons, rather than Australian seasons. It's funny - I've been in Australia 18 1/2 years, and I still find it hard to have the winter season starting in June, and Christmas in summer, etc...

Anyway, I added my Harvest Pumpkin with crow and sunflower to Etsy. I have a few things to add soon as well.

Purely Primitive Dolls craft book

A few days ago over on the Mercantile Gatherings Magazine Facebook page, they mentioned a craft book called Purely Primitive Dolls: How to Make Simple, Old-Fashioned Dolls. It's by Barb Moore of The Primitive Oswald.

The book hasn't been released yet, but it set to do so in July, and you can pre-order the book on Amazon. It looks like it would be a fun book to have, whether you're new to primitive crafting or have been crafting a long time. I don't really know anything more about it though.

Anyway, I just thought I would pass that on in case anyone else is interested.

I'm still here :-)

Hi everyone! Just thought I would quickly post to say I haven't disappeared. I just have taken a little break. I'm hoping to get some new things made soon since I haven't made anything the past couple of months.

Today is my sweet daughter's 8th birthday. I have to get her cake made today, and I am hoping I can decorate it the way I have it pictured in my mind. I need to go buy some frosting though as the frosting pack that comes with the cake mix never seems to be enough. After I get back home and get the cake started, I need to clean the house, as my in-laws will be coming over for my daughter's birthday.

A busy day for me. So, until next time.......
